South AsianS ACTIVE TOGETHER (SAATH)

SAATH is one of the first healthy lifestyle research programs for South Asian (SA) women (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan and Nepali ) in the U.S.. This is important because South Asians are four times more likely to develop heart disease and diabetes at a younger age compared to many other ethnic groups. Due to their immigration status, culture and gender, SA women and girls are at particularly high risk for these health conditions.

The SAATH Study includes South Asian friendly exercise classes and group discussions about physical activity and healthy living. Our goal for this program is to help prevent heart disease in the South Asian community.

THE SAATH STUDY is now closed to enrollment

Group exercise classes, get health screenings, meet other South Asians and earn up to $260.
